PURE RETINOL 0.1% CREAM is the core product of Dr.esthé's retinol line, containing 0.1% pure retinol in a stabilized, irritation-reducing base.

The concentration's mechanism of action is similar to the 0.01% activity of retinoic acid (tretinoin), but it is much gentler, making it ideal for the introductory phase of retinol therapy or for those with moderate tolerance.

The purpose of the formula is:

  • acceleration of the cell cycle,
  • enhancing epidermal renewal,
  • reduction of fine wrinkles and surface irregularities,
  • refining pores,
  • lightening of pigmented lesions,
  • improving the skin's barrier function through a peptide and agave extract complex.

The product can be well integrated into the aftercare program of peeling treatments, microneedling treatments, laser procedures and IPL in the appropriate regeneration phase, in order to achieve a more complete anti-aging effect.

Key active ingredients and their effects

3% Agave Tequilana Leaf Extract

  • Moisturizing and antioxidant effect thanks to polysaccharide fractions.
  • Minimizes the initial dryness and peeling typical of retinol.
  • Stabilizes the skin's water-binding capacity and improves the integrity of the epidermal barrier.

5-type Peptide Complex

The peptide combination supports skin regeneration on several levels:

  • signaling peptides → stimulation of collagen synthesis
  • copper peptides → support wound healing and tissue repair
  • barrier-strengthening peptides → reduction of irritation reactions

The peptide system, in addition to the use of retinol, is particularly important in stabilizing the barrier

Bakuchiol

  • Retinol-like mechanism of action: antioxidant + collagen synthesis
  • Reduces the irritation threshold
  • Ideal retinol supplement due to its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties

0.1% Pure Retinol

  • It enhances the renewal of keratinocytes.
  • Increases the activity of dermal fibroblasts → collagen I and III stimulation.
  • Reduces fine wrinkles and improves visible signs of photoaging.
  • Normalizes sebum production and reduces pore size.
  • Supports the resolution of acne post-inflammatory pigmentation.

Recommended for therapeutic purposes:

  • photoaging (grades I–II)
  • atonic skin that has lost elasticity
  • surface wrinkles and texture irregularities
  • post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation
  • blackhead-prone, large-pored skin
  • laser / IPL / RF / microneedling post-regeneration in the stabilized phase

Usage (protocol designed for clients):

  • The last step of your evening routine
  • Apply a thin layer to the area to be treated: eye area–forehead–mouth area–neck
  • Start: 2–3 times a week
  • After 2–3 weeks: every other evening
  • In case of tolerance: every evening. Mandatory SPF50 during the day. Combined use of chemical peels, retinol, and retinoic acid is not recommended.
